Selective Meat Traders opened their doors in Dandenong South, Melbourne on the 12th September 2012 with the idea of bringing the best quality brands of cryovac meats from around Australia to our clients whom consist of butchers shops, supermarkets, catering, hotels and restaurant suppliers and smallgoods operators.
We have also opened our own production room where we manufacture smoked product, corned and marinated beef, pickled pork, marinated lamb roasts, plain and flavoured sausages plus a range of smallgoods.
Michael Brown is the Manager and Part Owner of Selective Meat Traders. He has put together one of the most experienced sales and work teams in Australia with nearly 200 years of knowledge in the meat industry.
Selective Meats can supply and deliver many kinds of cryovac meats that include all types of Graded Beef, Wagyu, Black Angus, Organic Beef, Veal, Lamb, Mutton, Pork, Chicken, Game Meat and our own manufactured product.
Some of our brands include, John Dee (Banksia Gold and John Dee Silver), NCMC (Fairlight), Australian Meat Group – Southern Ranges program, Southern Grain and Josdale, Woodwards, Farmers Choice, Kilcoy, Yarra Valley Game and OBE Organic.
Selective Meats main distributor is Cold Xpress who deliver daily to the Melbourne Metro and main country towns and every second day to the smaller towns in Victoria and over the borders into N.S.W and South Australia. We can also arrange delivery of mixed pallet/pallet orders into any State or Territory.
Upon opening our doors, Selective Meats prides itself on looking after our clients. We realise there will be problems in our industry, but our priority is to rectify the situation where all parties remain happy.
